Jamie learned to play bridge in 2019, and duplicate in 2020. He became a Life Master in 2025. He currently serves as the Treasurer of Unit 207 and District 16.

He retired from the University of Texas at Austin after a 30-year career as an auditor, accountant, Associate Dean and Associate Vice President. He has served on numerous non-profit boards over the past 20 years.

Jamie enjoys traveling with his husband and spending time with his grandchildren. He is also a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for a teen in the Texas foster care system, a role that has been especially rewarding.
