Mitch Dunitz graduated from law school at the University of Michigan in 1981, practiced law for 5 years, and then started a real estate investment firm in Southern California. He is still active.

A Grand life master with 33,000 points, he has served as a member of ACBL National Appeals Board, chairman of the Anti-Cheating Commission and chairman of the Hall of Fame committee. He currently chairs the ACBL Discipline Committee.

Mitch is the founder of bridge ethics and education Corp., a company that fosters the growth of bridge at the college level. He is also a trustee of the ACBL Educational Foundation and a Trustee of the ACBL Charity Foundation.
