Paul joined ACBL in 2005 and achieved the rank of Life Master in 2009 and Gold Life Master in 2018. He was elected to the Unit 174 Board in 2008 and served 6 years. He served on the District 16 Board of Directors from 2010 through 2024 and was President in 2015. He received the D16 Jacoby service award in 2016.

Paul served on the ACBL Board of Directors from 2017 through 2024 and was been an influential advocate for improving ACBL’s business practices and governance. He served as Interim Executive Director from December, 2022 into May 2023 when Bronia Jenkins was hired for the position.

He has served on boards for nearly 40 years. Since 2005, he’s volunteered with Executive Service Corps to help nonprofits through Strategic Planning, Organizational Effectiveness, Board Development and Executive Coaching.

Paul was a Chemical Engineer for Shell Oil Company and reached the level of Vice President. He lives in Houston.
